September 9th, 1957 – July 16th, 2022

Barbara Elaine Powell, age 64 of Cedar City, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of July 16th, 2022 at her favorite place, the family cabin in Panguitch Lake. Born in Cedar City, Utah on September 9th, 1957 to Norman (Buddy) Lund and Karon Walker Lund. Barbara married Charles (Harry) Randell Powell and had 3 children, Randi, Tina, and Ryan Powell. Barbara was an Iron County EMT for many years. She also worked for K-mart and Genpak and attended SUU. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and many other crafts, but most of all, she loved to spend her time at Panguitch Lake! She also loved spending time with her 4 grandchildren, Stephen Meredith, Braylon Bjorkman, and Rhyin and Axel Powell, she was very proud of them all. Barbara is survived by her mother Karon, her 2 brothers Merdell & Roylene Lund and JL & Stacy Lund, Also her 3 children Randi & Paul Meridith, Tina Powell & Corey Lord, and Ryan with Maddie Powell, and her 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Norman, her grandparents Rolland & Margret Walker and Willard & Marva Lund.

The family will be holding an open Celebration of Life on July 30th, 2022 from 2-4pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meeting house on 25 West highway 143, Panguitch, Utah.
