Abraham (Abe) Alonzo Mitchell, 41, Riverton, UT, passed away on February 24, 2024 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray Utah.

The visitation will be held at the LDS meetinghouse on 1555 West Lovely Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123 on February 29, 2024, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley, City. IPS Mortuary & Crematory will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Abe was born in Vale, Oregon, to Theron Mitchell and Cindy LaRochelle on June 5, 1982. He went to Scotland County high school in Laurinburg, NC and graduated in 2000 where he received the Sandy Nininger Award for exemplifying the spirit of service, leadership, and positive growth. He went on to earn a degree in computer science from Neumont College of Computer Science. He worked at Motorola as a computer programmer. He enjoyed tabletop gaming along with video games.

Abe is survived by his wife Yuko Yorigami of Riverton, son, Taiga; daughter, Elly; daughter, Aya; son, Kota; mother Cindy LaRochelle; brothers, Robert LaRochelle, Tom LaRochelle, Morgan Mitchell, Corey Mitchell, Theron Mitchell, Nathaniel Mitchell, Samuel Mitchell, Timothy Mitchell, and James Mitchell; sisters, Jerna Watson, Barbara Forrester, Corleneda Vogel, Melissa Mellars, Karen LaRochelle, Trudy Mitchell, Molly Krupa, Scarlett Mitchell, and Darcey Winkelkotter.

He is preceded in death by his father, Theron Mitchell, stepfather, Vernon LaRochelle, brother Benjamin Mitchell, and sister Marlene Mitchell.
