Michael Kent Losser Obituary

Michael Kent Losser

1953 ~ 2024

Mike Losser unexpectedly passed away on September 21, 2024, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mike was born October 9, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wayne Losser Sr. and Donna Losser. He married Liz Losser on July 21, 1993. Mike was employed by Kennecott (Rio Tinto) on 8/15/72 and retired on 9/06/02.

Mike loved traveling and exploring the United States with Liz and his two dogs. Mike loved playing Solitaire and always won. He was a dedicated dog lover and would go to the dog park daily no matter the weather.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Liz and his dog Stella. He is preceded in death by his parents Wayne Sr. and Donna Losser.

Mike is survived by Wayne Jr. Losser (Karen), Sherri Axtell (Larry), Linda Bench (Larry), Kathy Stumpp (Bob), and had four nieces and six nephews whom he was very proud of.

Mike was a humble man and not the kind to like a lot of attention so therefore his wishes were to not have a service.

Mike had such a huge heart and was always giving to others. Alongside the dog treats in his pocket, he carried a folded up twenty-dollar bill just in case he ran into someone that needed it. Mike was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Liz and Mike were soulmates, as well as best friends, and had a love like no other.

“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us. Until we meet again…”
