I grieve and search and struggle, and nowhere

do I see an end to my sorrow, save that we

might thwart life’s mistakes by remaining in love,

But with truth and honesty even more

than with each other.

I have within me an intuition of how things truly are,

As well as how they could be

And there is no anxiety, or fear that will ever

Serve to make believe that the “almost” is the “actual”.

No if it cost me my sanity and my life,

I will never confuse some fake nicety for what is true.
