Obituary of Clayton Grant Walker
Please share a memory of Clayton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The eldest son born to William Thomas and Deon Tripp Walker, Clayton Grant Walker was born on October 26, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. Grant was named after his grandfather but was called by his middle name. Grant was proud of his heritage especially its military connections including his grandfather Clayton Ellis (Air Force) father Bill (Navy), brother Tommy (Marines), and son Tyler (Army). He loved spending time with his siblings Marla, Travis, Wyatt, Tommy, and Alicia. From movie nights to family dinners, spending time with them was always important to him. He loved his nieces and nephews and their families like his own kids. But more than this he loved his wife Jeannie and children Tyler and Brynlie. He passionately supported them through baseball, football, dance and whatever other interests they had. He was the greatest father we could’ve asked for. Grant married Jeannie on 6/20/1998. They met at work and started dating in the spring of 1994 and the love they did and still have for each other was undeniable. In his final hours he expressed how Jeannie had saved his life twice, she was his hero.
Although he struggled with his recent illness in the end he was at peace. It was as if he were sleeping. He was at peace.
