March 15, 1982 – November 4, 2025
Zachary “Zac” Fahrni, beloved son, father, brother, and friend. Born March 15, 1982, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Zac lived a life full of kindness, laughter, and generosity.
A proud graduate of West Jordan High School’s Class of 2000, Zac cherished his years there and the memories he made playing football as a Jaguar. His passion for the game continued throughout his life—he was a loyal Chicago Bears fan and could always be found cheering them on each season.
Zac spent most of his life in Utah, including a time in St. George where he learned the HVAC trade that became his lifelong career. His strong work ethic and commitment to helping others defined his character both on and off the job.
He had a love for the simple things in life—pumpkin pie, football season, and time spent outdoors. Zac enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in nature, but most of all, he loved being with his family. His heart belonged to his two beautiful daughters, Ava and Chloe, who were the light of his life. Zac also shared a special bond with his mom, whom he always looked after and supported with unwavering love and care.
Zac was a devoted brother and brother-in-law, and a fun, loving uncle to his two little nephews who adored him. He was also blessed with grandparents he was very close to, and he cherished the time he spent with them. Family meant everything to Zac, and he made sure those he loved always knew how much they mattered to him.
Zac will be remembered for his big heart, his readiness to lend a hand, and his deep love for his family and friends. He touched countless lives with his warmth and generosity, and his absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 15, with details to be shared as the date approaches.
Zac will be missed deeply but remembered always—with gratitude for the love, laughter, and kindness he brought into the world.
Survived by his mother Roxsan (Dave) Aerts, daughters Ava & Chloe, brother Colton (Mariah) Welch, nephews Noah & Asher, brother Travis Welch, Grandparents Darrell Fahrni, Afton & Harry Webb, Aunt Dawn (Mike) Arnone, Uncle Telly (Heidi) Esplin, Aunt Allison Webb, 13 cousins and extended family, Austin (Lindsay) Aerts, Valerie (Jared) Longhurst
