Ernest B Sharples was born April 11, 1934 and passed away peacefully in his home of 70 years on April 2, 2026.

Ernie married Colleen Hughes on May 5, 1955 and together they had 4 children Buck (Debera), Penny, Teresa (Darren), Nicole (Timothy) and Ernie's son-in-law Dave Schneider. They have 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife and grandson.

Ernie served honorably in the United States Army. Ernie was a gifted carpet layer and his work has been displayed in many prominent places, businesses and countless people's homes. He touched many lives through his love and endless years of devotion to the Boy Scouts of America program, where he held the highest honors. Ernie spent his life living a Christlike example of service, and could always be found quietly serving his family, friends, and people in his neighborhood without asking for anything in return.

At Ernie's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. If you wish to honor Ernie, go spend some time touching dirt, hiking, fishing, sitting in nature, or driving through wildflowers, for those were his happy places !
