Dixie Lee Hardman Obituary

Our beloved Dixie Lee Hardman (80) slipped from this Earthly presence and into the arms of many loved ones, joyously awaiting her arrival in Heaven on April 3, 2026.

Dixie was born in Kamas, Utah on July 23, 1945. She was daughter of Walter and Barbara (Duncan) Evans.

Dixie married William Howard Hardman, and together they had two children: Terry (married to Stephanie) and Kimmy Jo (married to John) Hardman. Each child carries a part of Dixie with them, proudly continuing their mother's legacy with love. While Dixie's influence shaped her children's lives, she herself embarked on a new chapter after her divorce, eventually finding happiness again when she met Jerry Adams, the love of her life.

She leaves behind her beloved partner, Jerry Adams (daughter Sharay Roth); her son, Terry Hardman (married to Stephanie); her daughter, Kimmy Jo Hardman (married to John Mashci); and her granddaughters, Cyndal Maschi (married to Brendan); Rylee Hardman and Tanna Cobia.

Grandsons: Cameron Maschi; Corbin Maschi and Jerry Lee Adams (Jr.); Great-grandchildren:

Kinsley Westover; and Madison Maschi; Sister Mildred Michaely (Don); Brother Curtis Evans (Estella).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Barbara (Duncan) Evans, and by her siblings: Coy Evans, Vicky Hammond, Barbara Jean Young, Jeff Evans, Walter (Jr.) Evans, and Shane Evans.

Dixie's caring nature shone through in countless ways. Her friends and family fondly remember her for her genuine kindness and unwavering respect for everyone she met, whether lending a listening ear or offering a helping hand.

Growing up surrounded by the mountain of Utah, Dixie developed a lifelong appreciation for nature that she carried into adulthood, often spending weekends camping, rock hounding and exploring the great outdoors. She always made time to listen and offer support, no matter how busy she was—a testament to her caring spirit and genuine respect for others. She will be remembered as someone who not only cherishes her loved ones but also inspires those around her with her warmth and generosity.

Cherished Family and Adventures:

Dixie deeply valued her family, with a special devotion to her grandchildren. Her love for the outdoors was evident throughout her life, from camping trips and gathering around outdoor fires to motorcycle rides in her younger years. Later, she and Jerry enjoyed exploring together in their Side by Side, making the most of every opportunity to be out in nature.

Dixie and Jerry Adams shared a genuine passion for the open road, with weekends spent chasing adventure and soaking in new sights together. They loved winding through Utah's scenic mountain passes, windows down to let in the crisp air and the scent of pine. At each stop, Dixie would eagerly scan the ground for the perfect rock to add to her ever-growing collection, her eyes lighting up when she found something unique. Jerry, always in good humor, would tease her— "You could build another mountain with all these rocks!"-but he made sure there was always extra space in their Side by Side for Dixie's treasures. Their playful exchanges and shared rituals, like mapping out the next trail or pausing for a photo at every sunset, made their journeys as memorable as the destinations themselves.

Each year, they participated in Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada, a tradition that brought excitement and joy to their lives. One of Dixie's most memorable journeys was retracing Route 66 with Jerry, Midge and Don, a trip that reflected her preference for road travel over flying. Dixie was always eager to embark on new adventures, making lasting memories along the way.

Grief never ends...but it changes.

It's a passage, not a place to stay.

Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith... It is the price of love
