Rebecca Ann Maxfield Newlon, age 49, left us too soon surrounded by her family, May 1, 2026. Becki was born August 20, 1976 in Richfield, Utah to Larry and Carolyn Maxfield. Becki’s family lived in Richfield until 3rd grade before moving to West Jordan where she attended Joel P. Jensen Middle School and West Jordan High School. She attended Utah State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in business information systems.

Rebecca loved many things. She loved music and always had a tune going wherever she went. She loved dancing and was on the dance team in jr. high. She loved Disneyland and took her family several times. She loved photography and took pictures of nature, wildlife, families, weddings and a lot of school dance pictures. She loved to scrapbook, craft, enjoyed organizing, spending time outdoors, and met her husband jeeping. But mostly, she loved her family. She was always there to provide for her children and watch out for her parents. Her children were her life.

Rebecca served in many positions in her church including in the primary as president, teacher, pianist, and activities; as the compassionate service coordinator, Sunday school teacher for the youth, and young women’s camp director. Rebecca has had several part-time jobs over the years including managing the financial affairs at her husband’s mortuary, packaging at Glow Dough, assessing reading skills of K-3 students in the DIBELS program, and store associate and church distribution sales at Deseret Book. But her favorite full-time job was her family. She met her husband in Logan at USU, they shortly married and moved to West Jordan where they had 3 wonderful children and lived for the past 26 years.

Rebecca is survived by her husband of 26 years, Gregory, three children, Jakob (fiancé Aspen), Elizabeth (fiancé Cameron), and Sarah; her mother Carolyn Maxfield, her siblings Scott (Terie), Mark, Jaci Webb (Sean), Brian (Annissa) and many other family members including in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Larry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, at 10:00 am at the Prairie Grizzly Building, 7337 South Grizzly Way, West Jordan, Utah 84081. Family and friends may gather Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday Morning from 9-9:45 am. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at the Logan City Cemetery, 1000 North 1200 East, Logan, Utah 84321.
