Melaney Ann Jacobsen our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma and Sister passed away on Sunday May 10th on Mother's Day after a long battle with copd and respiratory failure at St Marks hospital.
She was born on May 26th, 1950, in Heber Utah to Marion Casper and Kenneth Horrocks. She was the oldest of her sisters Debra Fulbright and Kim Horrocks. She also lived in Lark and went to Bingham High School where she met and married Ben Lopez. They had two daughters Michelle and Heidi.. She divorced Ben and married Jerry Jacobsen who adopted her children as his own.
She lived in Midvale and worked most of her life as a CNA and would care for people with kindness and love and was very helpful to others during her career. She retired and lived with her oldest daughter Michelle and her grandson Matthew during her later years. She enjoyed being home and watching movies and reading and being with her family and Princess the cat..
Melaney is survived by her two daughters Michelle Jacobsen and Heidi Patterson. Her Grandson Matthew Jacobsen and Great Grandaughter Jaidyn Jacobsen and her sister Debra Fullbright Nephew Gary Horrocks. Preceded in death by her parents Marion Casper and Kenneth Horrocks and sisters Kathy Casper and Kim Horrocks. Her Grandparents Elsie and Elden Casper.
We will miss her kind sweet presence and loving soul more than ever. Mom, we will miss you forever and miss the way life felt when you were still a part of it. Rest in Love. We love you Forever.
