Kent LeRoy Jones, 74, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home on June 13, 2026 — his birthday — surrounded by his family. Born in Taylorsville in 1952, Kent lived his whole life in the community he called home.

A plumber by trade, Kent spent his life working with his hands and showing up for the people who depended on him. He took pride in honest work and a job done right, and he carried that same steadiness into everything that mattered to him.

Kent and his wife, Robbin, shared 54 years of marriage — a partnership that anchored their family and set the example their children and grandchildren grew up watching. He had a soft spot for sharing whatever candy he had on hand, and an even softer one for his grandchildren, who knew him as a constant, generous presence in their lives.

Kent is survived by his wife, Robbin Jones; his children, Jared (Jenn), Jennifer (Nick), Tyson, and Colton (Katelan); and his nine grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS Stake Center, 4322 South 5400 West, Taylorsville, Utah. All who knew and loved Kent are welcome to attend; casual attire.
