George Montoya “Kookie”, 69, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away on July 11, 2023. Kookie was born in Ogden, Utah to David and Adela Montoya on August 17, 1953. He was a man of many talents and wore many hats, but loved being a taxicab driver and chef. He loved to just get in the car and drive. He also loved to cook and feed everyone. He enjoyed hunting, camping, riding his bike, playing bingo and spending time with his family. He was always a jokester and loved to just have fun. He will be missed by many. Kookie is survived by his Daughter Monica (Ryan) of Salt Lake City. Daughters Sasha, Sara, Jillian and Son Chris. Grandchildren Isabella, Aiden, and Lamar. Great Grandchild Ollie. Brothers Mark (Ginger), Lee, Anthony (Amy). Sisters Mellie and Madeline. Nieces Jennifer (Manuel), Katalina, Jeweliana, and Kapriana. Many other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Parents David and Adela, Brothers Ray, Leo, and Davey, Sister Lois. A celebration of life will be held at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City at the Big Field Pavilion on August 20, 2023 at 2pm.
