Obituary of Neil Alan Ross

Neil Alan Ross, age 65, passed away September 4, 2023 in West Bountiful, Utah. Born December 29, 1957 to Zaner Wightman Ross and Orpha Terry Ross. He graduated from South High School. Neil married Destiny Nicole Ross in Judsonia, Arkansas. Neil was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Neil is the youngest of 4 children. He preferred being active in life and found many unique jobs to make a living. He ventured out on his own promptly after graduating from South High School. Neil spent much of his life enjoying the open road as a truck driver. Before his trucking career, Neil had worked with a traveling circus in Texas. He was active in Cub Scouts and in the Boy Scouts of America programs. Neil was known by his friends as "Red" because of his bright red hair. He liked to be out in nature doing just about everything; hiking, camping, fishing or biking. Neil was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, his wife Destiny. They spent several years near Destiny's family in Arkansas, then Destiny proposed it was time they move to Utah to be near Neil's family. They bought a home in Tooele, Utah. After his one true love passed away, he was truly devastated and was never able to fill the hole she left in his heart. He is survived by his two older sisters, Carolyn Bird and Brenda Hinkley and her husband Richard. Neil will be buried in the Alpine City Cemetery near his parents and older brother Terry Zaner Ross. Services will be held Saturday, November 11 at 11 am. We will have open mike, where you can share any thoughts and experiences about Neil.
