Obituary of Janice Kay Burnett
Please share a memory of Janice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Janice Kay Burnett was found deceased in her apartment in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aug 31, 2016 and had lived in that city for many years. She was in poor health for some time of a cardio-vascular disease and lymphoma. She was the daughter of Christine Troxell and deceased Howard Burnett. She would have been 72 years old. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, September 29, 1944, and spent some young life in Missouri until 1950 and family moved to southern California where she lived until graduating from high school. She leaves behind her dear friends Joe and Tom. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Priscilla, aunt Alleen, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her brother, Ronald passed away in 2000. After high school in California, she entered college at Brigham Young University and later transferred to the University of Utah and got her BS degree. Went on to get her RN degree and graduated cum laude. She went to work at Veteran’s hospital and even joined the army reserve as a captain. Later, she worked at the medical center at the University of Utah as an intensive care RN till she retired. Jan will definitely be missed.
Happy thoughts to you Jan. I made all those pleated skirts for you and you were so pleased and happy.
