Obituary of Victoria "Vickie" Uribe
Victoria Vickie Uribe, passed away on March 12, 2018, in Taylorsville, UT. Born on April 7, 1941, in Santa Fe, NM, to Pete and Elizabeth Herrera. She moved to Ogden, UT, as a young girl and it was there that she met her viejo, Alfredo Uribe. They were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on July 23, 1960, and spent nearly 50 wonderful, joy-filled years together before his passing in 2009.
What a blissful moment their reunion in heaven must have been. Theirs was a special love that brought so much joy to those who witnessed it.
Vickie is survived by her daughter, Nannette (Chris) Terrell; her grandchildren: Serena (Ryan) Brickey, Devin (Brooke) Oviatt, and Kyle (Aurelie) Erickson, and her greatgrandchildren, Skylar and Natalie.
She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jane (Mel) Mittelsteadt; and countless nephews, nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tobias; her son, Mark; two grandchildren; and the love of her life, Alfred. She meant so much to so many people and made friends wherever she went.
She was an expert shopper and loved to spoil everyone around her. We miss you so much, our mama, our grammy, our sister, and our friend.
Always loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.
Miss Vickie, we love you.
There will be a Funeral Mass held in her honor at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ogden, UT, on March 16, 2018, at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Her ashes will be laid to rest in a ceremony at the Taylorsville Cemetery, at 3 p.m. the same day.
