Obituary of Wendy Joy Brewster

Wendy Joy Brewster, 67, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on March 8th, 2019 peacefully in her sleep in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Services will be held at The Crescent Fifth Ward, located at 1050 East 10600 South, in Sandy, Utah on Saturday, March 16th at 2:00 PM.

Wendy was born in Salt Lake City to A. Lon Child & Norma Margurita Child on May 16th, 1951. She went to South High School and graduated in 1969. She then went on to cosmetology training afterwards. She worked many years in retail for Macey’s Department Stores until she became ill and no longer could. Wendy’s passion was music and could play the piano, guitar, and was a very good singer.

Wendy is survived by her children, Jennifer Richards, David Richards (Sherry Richards), Melissa Harris (Robert Harris), Nicolette Brewster (Rod Martinez), Tricia Brewster, sisters Connie Gudmundson & Judy Dunford, grandchildren Alex Crofoot, Nathaniel Richards, and Ian Harper. She is preceded in death by her parents, A. Lon Child & Norma Margurita Child, her Brother A. Lon Child Jr. (Skip), her beloved daughter Christine April Brewster, and her grandson Ethan Harper.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all her neighbors that lived by her that include, Janice & David Wesley, Ravenna & Henry Hanft, and all others residing near her in the Crescent 5th ward that were always willing to sacrifice their time and talents to assist her needs.
