Obituary of Delores Darrow

Please share a memory of Delores to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Delores “Dee” Darrow passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 10, 2019. She was born June 9, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Eugene Cavoli, Sr. and Dorthy Perry. As a small child, her family relocated to Salt Lake City, UT. After moving to Utah, she and her 4 siblings, Marie, Rita, Gene and Dottie were kept busy helping their mom run her various restaurants. This is where Dee found her love for baking and cooking. Dee had 3 children with the late Kenneth Palmer, Sr., Kenny, Jason and Jessica. She later married Seldon Darrow, Sr. where she gained 3, as she called them, “bonus” children, Rusty, Debbie and Mark. Dee completed her family when her and Seldon welcomed their daughter, Tiffany. In addition to being a busy mom and wife, Dee worked most of her life in the service and transportation industry. The work ethic and pride she brought to all of her tasks at work were unsurpassed. She loved being a grandma to her 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. When they were younger, she loved to have them sleep over and loved baking cookies and fudge for them. They were blessed to have a grandmother so young at heart. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday June 12, from 6pm-8pm at IPS Mortuary and Crematory at 4555 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah 84123
