Obituary of Steven Rex Johnson

Steven Rex ‘Bubba’ Johnson was born March 1st, 1970 to Reland Rex Johnson and Rita Cavoli In Bountiful, Utah and passed away among family on January 3rd, 2020 in Murray Utah.
He played little league baseball and football, and he went on to play for Davis High. He graduated from Davis High School in 1988.
Over the course of his life he was a huge sports fan including the Utah Utes, Pittsburgh Steelers, and St. Louis Cardinals.
He enjoyed hanging out with friends at local spots, he loved going to Nascar in Las Vegas for his birthday, and he loved Rock and Country Music.
In his early twenties he worked as a bouncer for many bars and clubs in the area, he went on to own his own shuttle business with his uncle Gene, and eventually became a truck driver full-time.
He had a heart of gold and was always protective of his friends and family. He was the life of the party anywhere he went and was well-known and well-loved by a diverse group of friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rita Mazza in late 2019. He is survived by his father Rex, his brother Mark, his sister-in-law Barbara. His nieces Natasha and McKenna, his nephew Reland Ryne, and great nephew Alex He will truly be missed by all. Until we meet again ...
Please come join us for a celebration of life in Bubba’s honor from 4 PM-6 PM on Saturday January 11th at the Center Court Apartments located at 4916 S. Center street, Murray, UT, in the common room. All are welcome and refreshments will be served. If anyone would like to send flowers, please send them to the center court apartments in the name of Rex Johnson, (206) 790-4620. There will be a wake in the future and details will be confirmed at a later date. His ashes will be laid to rest with his mother in a private family ceremony at Bountiful City Cemetery.
