Obituary of Kermit Blair
Please share a memory of Kermit to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
How do you write an obituary of a man that lived such a full life? Kermit "Fuzzy" Blair was born on 02/25/1935 and passed on 10/11/2016. Across between "Bob Ross" in looks and the "Marlboro Man" in spirit. Fuzzy had the fortune to have lived two lives in one lifetime. Both profoundly different, but amazing in their own unique way. Fuzzy was the epitome of character, loyalty, and toughness. He served in the military, worked 40 years at a factory now Lockheed Martin as the shop steward and shop foreman. He gave his love without hesitation to those close to him. Always a giver, never a taker. You won't read about him in any books, see viral pictures posted all over the internet, or read articles about him in the newspaper. Kermit has passed onto the next world and his life is celebrated by his legacy that will be carried on by all of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the generations he is survived by. Fuzzy loved to live life on the edge and never missed an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy one moment. He was passionate about family, motorcycles, fishing, and especially woodworking. He carried his father's love for making toys and furniture by hand and passed that on to all of us. Hard as stone on the outside, compassionate, loving, and caring on the inside. A true man of honor. Despite multiple challenges, Fuzz never whined. After the passing of his first wife Esther Blair, he was blessed with meeting Vivian Blair. He married this gem and gained another family that he loved dearly. The tough as nails man that had "Harm Full" tattooed across his hands in an era where tattoos were not popular never lived up to that phrase. In fact, he was a healer and a giver. As Fuzzy aged, he continued to take time with each of the many family that loved him as time permitted. His strength and memories will never be forgotten by us.
A celebration of Fuzzy's life will be held on 10/15/2016 at 2:00 p.m. located at Bonneville Gardens 705 S. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for financial donations to assist in honoring this amazing man.
