Born September 12, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Shellee Jansen Van Dam passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2020. Her last days on this earth were filled with an abundance of love that she took with her into the loving arms of those who passed before her. Shellee was born to Mildred Alice Green and Elmer John Jansen of Midvale, Utah. She lived her entire life in the Midvale area. She graduated from Hillcrest High School. Married Kelly Miller, later divorced, they had two children. Married Richard Troy Van Dam, December 3, 1993. He was the love of her life. Shellee spent the past 17 years working for Del Taco where she made many cherished friends. Employees and customers all enjoyed her vibrant, happy personality. Shellee loved working in her yard, camping, boating, jet skiing, and especially long rides. She loved all her animals, Sadie and Gypsy, her two dogs were her close companions during the last few months. Shellee is survived by her son, Kody (Cheryl) Miller, daughter, Kami Miller, brother Stanley (Louise) Jansen, and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Troy, parents and sister, Linda Patience. Shellee’s family would like to thank her brother Stan for all his assistance and the loving care he provided to her, also, her cousin, Gayle Conger, for seeing that she got to her doctor appointments. They are also thankful for all the many friends and family that stopped by to offer love and encouragement and for the care of her Applegate Hospice nurse, Terral. A gathering of family and friends and graveside services will be held at a later date at the Midvale City Cemetery located at 7505 S Holden Street, Midvale, Utah.
