LeJawn Aja Allen, 41, of Salt Lake City, Utah; passed away on 6/24/2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on 2/21/1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah; to Jeffrey Louis and Tawn Jorie Allen. She attended schools in Utah and Arizona. She won many awards and competitions and earned several sponsors. She traveled to several countries around the world to participate in this sport she loved. She was climbing mountains in March to get one last “shred”. During the summer, her favorite place was at Lake Powell. She married her love, Ryan Mitchell Burton on August 24, 2018 in a joyous celebration. She shared her love and home with her dog, Lox, and her cat, Milo. She is survived by her husband, Ryan Burton; her parents, Tawn Lee, Jeffrey (Eva) Allen; brothers Tyrone (Courtney) Allen, Gary Booth; sister Tawny (Rick) Swenson, step-sisters Natalee (Jeff) Hansen, Shannon Howell, Charity (Nathan) Tingey, Tiffany Hill, and Lindsey (Spencer) Boone; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Erna Allen, Louis Merle and Sibyl Allen, Bert and Marjorie Lee. Her earthly remains were cremated according to her wishes on 6/26/2020. A family “Celebration” of her life will be planned later. Her family would like to express their thanks to the many caregivers at Huntsman Cancer Institute who assisted in the care of LeJawn.
