Obituary of Christine May McCandless

Please share a memory of Christine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our sweet mom grew her wings on Sept 27, 2020 at the young age of 60. She left this world to a beautiful place with her parents Charlene and Eugene McCandless and her nephew Jerry and niece Alisha. She had a very brief battle with cancer and is now out of pain and flying with the angels. Christine was born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 3, 1960 to Charlene McCandless and Eugene McCandless. Christine grew up mostly in Taylorsville, Utah. She had some funny stories of her and her siblings growing up, never a dull moment it that home. She was shy and reserved and had a big heart. She did food catering most of her life which is where she met Todd Bowles and they had two daughters, Andrea and Rachel. While together they loved to go to Montana multiple times a year and going to the yearly State Fair. They were later separated and she helped raise her daughters in the same home where she grew up in Taylorsville. Anytime mom got a little extra money she wanted to do something fun with her kids, if it was taking them up to Brigham city for the weekend where they went swimming and had pizza. She loved taking them to the movies, getting popcorn, and all the snacks. Christine had a great sense of humor and was constantly making people laugh. She never left the house without her make up on and her plum lipstick. She loved that Rave hairspray and had to make sure there was no hair out of place before she left the house. She would hand sew beautiful arrangements of flowers, she had a very artistic side that was her unique talent. She loved all music, Madonna, Depeche mode and anything that "had a good beat" is what she would say. She was always a good Christian and believed in god her whole life and had pictures of Jesus all over in her home. Rachel and her were good friends and lived together until her passing. We will watch over Rachel mom don't worry she will be loved and cared for. Her life was cut much too short, she will be missed by all of her family and friends. Her first grand daughter will be born in November and we are sad she was not able to met her before she left, but we know she will watch over her and be her guardian. Mom, Rachel and Andrea love you and hate to see you leave us. Until we meet again, sweet mom, celebrate up there and enjoy the warm sunshine and love. Christine was preceded in death by Eugene McCandless (Dad), Charlene McCandless (Mom), Jerry Piep (Nephew), Alisha Barnes (Niece). She is survived by her daughters Andrea Bertram (Anthony), Rachel McCandless (Dillon). Brother Ron McCandless, Brother Gary McCandless, Brother Randy McCandless (Halene), Sister Marilyn Piep (Stephen). Many Nephews, Nieces and friends. A very special thank you goes out to Todd Bowles, Stephenie Houston and Jennifer McCandless who helped her so much these past few months. Also to Mark, Vicki and friends from her work Tastee's who donated money and food to her and Rachel. A Celebration of life will be held on October 2, 2020 at Independent Professional Services 4555 S.
