Obituary of Cheryl Evonne Bentley

Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
October 19, 1948 - February 6, 2021 Cheryl E. Bentley, age 72, peacefully crossed over Saturday February 6, 2021 after giving her second battle with Breast Cancer a real fight and run for its money. She was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Lee and Wilma Smith. She married Jack Bentley on August 25, 1972. They parted ways many years later but remained great friends and an example to all. Cheryl is leaving behind her 4 children, Mike (Kimberly) Bentley, Patty (Jeff) Erkelens, Bethany (Ben) Cox and Jolene (Rick) Jacobson, her siblings Cindy (Jerry) Knuth and Scott (Susan) Smith, her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many, many amazing friends. Cheryl exemplified her love of Christ in how she loved. She had a loving heart of gold, a contagious happy personality, and a passion for fun and adventure with an extra large dash of sass and spunk. She was the absolute epitome of unconditional love and acceptance, welcoming all with open arms with no stipulations. Any and all who had the privilege of spending time with her never worried about her hanging her head in disappointment at them, she would just ask “Do I need to worry about you?” then move on. She was a mama bear for her children, their friends and many others, opening her house to all and loving them equally. She will be missed by all. Cheryl did request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Huntsman’s Cancer Institute (Donate Here: https://give.huntsmancancer.org/page/23908/donate/1). They treated her like a queen from her first visit until her final breath. Her family is beyond grateful to her Oncologist Dr. Wei, who fought ferociously for her health and well being. Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions only immediate family will be attending the service. In lieu of flowers, donate to The Huntsman’s Cancer Institute (https://give.huntsmancancer.org/page/23908/donate/1)
