Obituary of Patricia Hogan

Patricia Marie Hogan 05/18/1954-03/04/2021 In Loving Memory West Valley City, UT—Patricia Marie Hogan, 66, of West Valley City, UT, passed away on March 4th 2021 in West Valley City of natural causes. Patricia Marie was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to an amazing mother Elizabeth Marie Leet on 05/18/1954. Patricia is survived by her son, Garrett and her granddaughter Aspen, her daughter Melissa, her twin brothers Kerry and Karl Leet, and her Amazon Parrot Jadziah. Patricia had nephews and nieces she loves, Monique and Kerry, Krystal and Trisha. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Leet, Stepfather Kelly Leet, and father William Hogan. Patricia had a passion for all animals and loved them in all shapes and sizes. Her life centered around care for others and once the "two-legged animals" left the nest, her house was always full of exotic friends of all blood temperatures. A country girl at heart, she spent most of her life in California raising everything from horses to rabbits. When financial situations made ranch life untenable, she transitioned to taking care of people working at John C. Freemont Hospital in California, first in the dietary department, then in central shipping and receiving. The next season of her life, found her in Utah then Arizona, where she worked in retail at Target, working her way up the ranks to section supervisor. But now health complications began to take their toll as a life of working on a ranch, raising animals, riding horses, and all the injuries associated with that life began to lower her mobility. No longer was she able to climb the ladders and lift the boxes required with that job. She found herself back in Utah where she worked as an outgoing and incoming call technician finally settling with Discover Card Customer service. Still taking care of people, still taking care of the animals, until the very end. A believer in Christ, she now joins Him and her family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at IPS Mortuary & Crematory on 03/10/2021 at 4pm. IPS Mortuary will be handling the funeral arrangements. Attendees may where whatever they chose but Pat would have liked this event to be a beach party so please wear bright and beachy clothing to the service.
