Obituary of Patricia Kay Shackelford

Our beautiful Patti, age 68, passed away on October 13, 2021 at the University of Utah Hospital. She was born on October 31, 1952, in Omaha, NE, to Paul Robert Stevens and Mary Elnora Binkley. Loving wife and mother. Amazing sister. Sweet Aunt and Grandmother to her lucky nieces nephews and granddaughter. Patti grew up in Omaha, NE until 1967 when her family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1970. In 1988 she married Ron Shackelford. Over the many weeks she struggled, Ron never left her side. He was there holding her hand until the moment the Lord took it in his. Patti had a 20 year career as the Credit Manager for Lyon Design in Salt Lake City. She was instrumental in growing the company and endeared herself to all of her co-workers. In 2012, in St. George, she became the Business Manager for Cherry Creek Radio retiring in 2017. Patti is survived by her husband Ronald Shackelford, sister Barbara Fuller, (George), step-daughter, Amber Porter. She had many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Paul Robert Stevens and Mary E. Stevens, infant brother Paul Robert Stevens Jr. The outstanding care of the medical teams at Huntsman Cancer Center and the University of Utah Hospital are truly commendable. Their skills, and devotion to Patti's care is beyond words. A celebration of Patti's life will be announced at a later date.
