Obituary of Carol Lyn Duckworth
Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We say goodbye for now to Carol Lyn Julson Duckworth, a devoted wife and mother. She passed on November 15, 2016 at the age of 70 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Carol was born August 16, 1946 to Wanda Ann Burns and Ralph Lawrence Julson in Logan, Utah. She was raised in Magna, Utah and married her high school sweetheart, Richard Duckworth. They lived in Magna another 40 years raising their children in the Lake Ridge community, then moved to a senior community in Murray. Carol loved fishing, camping, reading, and maintaining her beautiful yard. She exemplified "cleanliness is next to godliness." She excelled at crocheting and knitting producing many items to beautify her home and for the family to enjoy. She lived a selfless life always willing to help out and serving others before her own needs and wants. She enjoyed the winters spent in Yuma, Arizona and the friendships created there. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kay; survived by her husband, Richard; her four children, Steve (Dina), Kim (Mark), Amy (Lonnie), and Shane (Lisa); 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Justin, Paul, Shylee, Katie, Elizabeth, Shay, Sarah, Eric, Ashley, Nathan; one great-grandchild, Brody; and their chihuahua, Pepe. Friends and family are invited to come and share their condolences at the LDS Chapel, 3830 South 8000 West, Magna, November 30, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. or on December 1st from 10 - 10:45 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. We are especially grateful for the nurses and staff at Inspiration Hospice, specifically Caitlyn and Caralee.
