Obituary of Christopher Charles McCoy

Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
August 26, 1973 – February 05, 2022 Christopher Charles McCoy passed away on February 05, 2022. He was born August 26, 1973 in Klamath Falls Oregon. Chris was a very caring and positive person who motivated, supported, and loved everyone he met. He made friends easily due to his kindhearted nature. Chris enjoyed the outdoors, water, boating, fishing, hunting, and camping. At the age of 13 he was cliff diving and broke his neck while living in Oregon. The prognosis was grim. His struggle was real. With his mother (Kathy’s) support and Chris’ strong will he was able to recover and live a full life. After moving to Washington State, he graduated from Burlington-Edison High School where he made lifelong friends. Chris moved to Las Vegas in 1999 and drove a long hall Semitruck for several years with his father Charles McCoy. In 2004 he moved back to Washington and worked in the Auto Industry until 2018. He met the love of his life Michelle. They were inseparable for 18 years. In 2006 he became the father of Kailee McCoy. She was the light of his life and pride and joy. He recently said, “I was blessed to have my daughter, and God chose to give me three other children to love.” Deziray, Jordan, and Brandon, and for the last year and a half his niece Gracie. Chris moved his family to Utah in 2018, where he started a new career as an Insurance Agent. This opportunity allowed him to spend more time with his family and friends. Chris passed away doing what he loved “Living life”. Chris was preceded in death by his father Charles McCoy; he is survived by his wife Michelle McCoy; mother Kathy McCoy (Bob); daughters, Kailee McCoy, Deziray McCoy, Jordan Jarrells; son Brandon Jarrells; niece Gracie Herron; Sister LaDawn Ramsey (Chad); nephews Corbin Ramsey, Dustin Ramsey; mother-in-law Lisa Christoffersen; father in-law Robert Herron; brother in-law Tony (Tiffany); nieces Camie Herron, Samantha Herron. It holds true that friendships last forever. The outpouring received from friends in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Utah was grandiose in the most loving and helpful way. A special thanks to Brandon Dente, Michael Saldana, Robyn Moore, Christian Muneton, Don and Jo Dente, Shemmy Louis, Christine Willmore, Don and Holly Jorgensen, Taylor and Natalie Dente, Andy Torro and everyone from USHealth Advisors. Thank you to Doctor Eric McEntire a true God send to our family. Cards and condolences can be sent to the McCoy Family at 1747 W 8300 S, West Jordan, Utah 84088
