Obituary of Rae Nielson Lee

Please share a memory of Rae to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
August 2, 1933 ------ March 27, 2022 Our sweet mother, Rae, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Sunday, March 27th of this year. She was the daughter of John Ervin Nielson and Alta Cleone Cahoon. She was the 6th child of 8 children. She loved her brother and sisters, and they were her best friends all through her life. She was born in a small house at the end of Main Street in Richfield, Utah. She married Talmage Noble Lee of Monroe, Utah in 1953 and later divorced in 1980. Mom was a great bread maker and was an expert in sewing. She sewed all of our clothes, including jeans, coats, dresses of all types and liked to sew matching outfits for her 2 sons that would match our dad’s shirts. She even sewed our Barbie dolls clothes! She loved to swim up until she had to get her tracheotomy because of her breathing issues. She loved to read all sorts of books, embroider cloth, crochet afghans, grow strawberries, and watch old westerns on tv. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved to go to the temple of our Lord. We know she is filled with joy to be with her family and friends again. We will see you again, Mom. I love you a bushel and a peck. Survived by her children: Rachel Lee, Jeanette Lee Johnson, Larry (Kali) Lee, Glenn (Sharon) Lee and 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Cleone (Ray) Clausen, Bud (Elaine) Nielson, Mary Lou (Leon) Gardner, Barbara (Bill) Bell, Delone (Mack) Evans. and 2 siblings who died at birth. It was her wish to be cremated and have a memorial up in the mountains that she loved so much.
