Obituary of Judith Ann Blaufuss
Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judy adored life! She was blissfully happy as a mother, wife, grandmother, nurse, and friend. As the daughter of an Air Force Colonel, she was blessed to live in far-off lands. From preschool in Hawaii, where she learned to speak Hawaiian, to her cherished time in the Philippines as a teenager, she was brought up as a student of the world. This beginning created an insatiable desire to further her education, and a deeply seeded respect for all people. She was firm, but fair, bringing integrity to every situation. Her commitment to making the world a better place could be witnessed by the exemplary strides she made in advancing the field of nursing. Judy worked as a nurse in Orthopedics, Intensive Care, Nursing Education, and Research. She then went on to achieve a master’s degree to become a Clinical Specialist. She worked in administration for IHC and ended her career at Primary Children’s Hospital as Nurse Executive. Judy published extensively in her field and once graced the cover of a nursing magazine. Countless lives have been blessed with her care both physically and spiritually. As a leader in Trinity United Methodist Church, Judy modeled perseverance, compassion, and kindness with endless volunteering. She genuinely loved her church, emulating her faith every day as a true servant and leader. She fiercely loved her family and was truly a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. For those blessed to have known her, we are better for having her in our lives.
