As Marty raised his family with Wendy, his priorities were church and family. He considered the needs of his parents, and sister, and in-laws as well, and helped them whenever he could.
Marty continually planned events in and around his current community and generously invited us and others to share the experiences. Among many other things, we enjoyed farm tours, eclectic museums of tractors and trains, and antique weaving looms, the Cuyahoga Vally train ride and birdwatching. He absolutely loved sharing his passion for birdwatching and wildlife.
Marty thought ahead to Jim's interest in welding and arranged for classes that they attended together.
He was blessed in his life with a devoted, loving wife, three amazing sons and their wives and five wonderful grandchildren. He had an extraordinarily full life.
We are now wondering if Marty has met up with his mother-in-law and her reaction to seeing him after all his years of sending her "witch" cards and gifts every Halloween.
He also gifted me a can of faux "road kill" that he thought I needed, knowing my history of eating most anything.
We pray for Marty that the perils of his suffering are now resolved in the presence of God. We also pray for peace for Wendy and her family.
He will be missed.
In sympathy and love,
Jim and Alexis Toole
