We were so sorry to hear of Chris's passing. We knew him as a young man in Illinois, and loved him so much for his kindness and optimism. He was accepting of everyone and tried hard to make them feel welcome.
Our love and heartfelt prayers go out to his family. Please know that we hold a special place in our hearts for Chris.

My deepest condolences to Chris' family at this very hard time. I worked with Chris at FedEx and although I didn't work directly with him, when he passed through my office to leave he was always smiling and friendly and sometimes we would chat for a bit. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He really did have a heart of gold. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Chris was not only my coworker, he was my friend. During the time my mom was passing he was always there as a great support system. I remember I would always stay late on days that Chris would be super busy and had plenty of work to spare, so I would always stay after my 12 hour shift just to help him out and chat. Chris had such a kind and pure heart of gold. When I heard about his passing I couldn't believe it. It didn't feel real. I just can't imagine a world without Chris in it. I will forever miss our heart to heart chats, your morning hellos with that contagious smile. May you rest in paradise Chris. You will be greatly misses. My prayers and thoughts go out to Chris's family during this time. You had an amazing son, brother, and father and it really showed with how great of a person Chris was.

While serving as his bishop for a time, I came to know and love Chris for his devotion and service to God. He loved his children dearly and always tried his best to help them learn and grow from their experiences with other youth in our ward. He served faithfully in the callings he had in the ward. He will be sorely missed.

There are so many over the years growing up but more recently, my daughter, grandson and I were able to spend a little time during our trips to Utah with him. I will forever hear his voice in my head correcting me on how to pronounce Illinois. I, for some reason always want to say the "s" at the end. We had fun getting ice cream from Baskin Robbins and going to Jeanne's and hanging out while Oliver played with Jameson with the hover soccer ball. Another time we sat on the lawn at the school eating Panda Express reminiscing our younger years. So very grateful for these opportunities we had to visit and catch up. I remember the fun we had when Aaron and Chris came to Pocatello and stayed for a few days and Chris went somewhere with some girl ans we all started getting worried and had the police looking for him. Genie can tell the story so much better than I can, but we had a fun visit. We got pictures with Gene, Aaron, Chris and I and my two oldest boys. I have it somewhere, i will try to find it and share it. He has always been such a sweet kid. He will be missed by all who knew him. Fly High Chris, thank you for loving us all so purely.
