Obituary of Alberto Arturo Quiroz

Arturo Quiroz passed away on January 10th after a long battle with cirrhosis. Born to Ofelia Rodriguez and Francisco Quiroz, on June 2, 1961, in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. As a teen he found the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He later served an honorable full time mission in the Monterrey, Mexico mission. In his 20's Arturo immigrated to the United States. Later he married Charise Henderson and had two children, David Quiroz and Nathan Quiroz. A few years after their amicable divorce, he met and married Maribel Gomez. He gained another child by marriage, Yesenia Wheeler (Juarez/Quiroz), and fathered one more child, Arturo Quiroz jr. He remarried two more times, Gabriela Duerte and shortly before his passing, to Bernice Hernandez. No children were shared in either marriage. Arturo became a very successful businessman and real estate agent. But Arturo will be most remembered for his undying service to everyone who knew him. Arturo dearly held the knowledge that to love God is to serve His children. Wherever Arturo went he was stopped by someone who knew him. He is preceded by his parents, and dear brother Alejandro. He is survived by his sons David (Mackenzie), Nathan and Arturo. His daughter Yesenia (Jacob) and his former spouses. His grandchildren, Shilo, Havia, Mossiah, and Esther. His siblings, Francisco, Victor, Sandra, Claudia and all their respective spouses and children. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18th at the church on 3900 S 4000 W. Viewing will begin at 5:00 PM, Funeral will be at 7:00 PM. /// Arturo Quiroz falleció el 10 de enero en Salt Lake City después de una larga batalla con cirrosis. Hijo de Ofelia Rodríguez y Francisco Quiroz, nació el 2.º de junio del 1961. En Tampico, Tamaulipas, México. De adolescente aprendió sobre la iglesia de Jesucristo de los santos de los últimos días. A los años sirvió una misión de tiempo completo en Monterrey, México. Después de sus 20 años, inmigro a EEUU en dónde conoció a Charise Henderson. Con quien tuvo dos hijos, David Quiroz y Nathan Quiroz. Después de un divorcio se casó con Maribel Gómez, ganó una hija nueva, Yesenia Wheeler (Juárez/Quiroz), y tuvieron un hijo, Arturo Quiroz Jr. Se volvió a casar dos veces más, con Gabriela Duarte, y poco antes de fallecer a Berenice Hernández. No hubo niños en ninguno de esos dos matrimonios. Arturo fue un exitoso empresario y agente de bienes raíces. Todos lo recordarán por su servicio a cualquiera. Se aferraba al conocimiento de que amar a nuestro prójimo es amar a Dios. A dónde iba, había siempre alguien que lo conocía. Él fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres y su querido hermano Alejandro. Lo sobreviven sus hijos David (Mackenzie), Nathan, Arturo jr, su hija Yesenia (Jacob), y sus nietos Shilo, Havia, Mossiah, y Esther. Y por sus hermanos Francisco, Sandra, Víctor, Claudia, todos con sus parejas y familias. Servicios fúnebres serán el jueves enero 18 en la capilla que se encuentra en la 3900 S 4000 W. Velorio empezará a las 5:00 PM, y el funeral a las 7:00 PM.
