Obituary of Bonnie Linn Morgan Bonzo

Bonnie Linn Morgan Bonzo passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday May 24, 2024, at the age of 76. Bonnie was born April 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City Utah to Elmer and Merle Morgan and was the second of three children. She grew up and lived in Salt Lake City throughout her life. She graduated from Granite High School in 1966 and then made the decision to attend Utah State University where she met her husband John Clifton Bonzo Jr. They were married on August the 26th 1969 in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. In nearly 54 years of marriage they faced all the adventure, joy, and hardships of this life while raising their three children, Kimberly, Traci, and Aaron. She loved the outdoors and especially fishing with her family, camping trips to the cabin on Cedar Mountain, and a good water fight or fire to sit around.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband John Clifton Bonzo Jr., her parents Elmer and Merle Morgan, her brother Kelly Morgan, and her son in law Johnny Patel (Kimberly). She is survived by her three children, Kimberly Ann Bonzo Patel, Traci Linn Bonzo Wood (J. Stewart Wood jr.), Aaron James Bonzo (Shandy Bonzo), and her four grandchildren, S. Tyler Wood, Jay Wood, Gabriel Krause, and Sawyer Bonzo, and her sister Peggy Morgan Scott (Norman Scott).
Services will be held beginning with a celebration of life on Thursday June 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hilltop United Methodist Chruch, 985 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT followed by a graveside service at the Cedar City Cemetery, 685 N Main St, Cedar City, UT on Saturday June 15th at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation to the many staff members at Mount Olympus Rehabilitation Center for the care, love, support, and most of all friendship they provided over the final years of Bonnie’s life.
Bonnie, you had the biggest heart and greatest impact on the many lives you touched throughout your years. You will be missed more than words could express but are now free from your earthly limitations and free to laugh, love, roam, and explore to your heart’s content.
