Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William T. Sorrels (Bill) was born on August 2, 1965 to Alfred E. & Carol A. Sorrels. He unexpectedly passed away in his home in West Valley City on October 7, 2024. Bill was Married to the love of his life Carolyn Turpin- Sorrels on June 19, 1992. Bill was a loving husband, father, Grandpa, son, brother and a great friend to Many. Bill loved his wife Carolyn, children Christi, Tim (Bonnie) Cheltzie (Alan), his 9 grandchildren and 2 1/2 Great-grandchildren very much. Bill enjoyed going camping, fishing at night, shooting his many guns, and hunting and teaching his kids and grandkids how to do all of these safely. He loved teaching The grandkids how to drive the tractor, and taking all of the kids on the tractor for rides. They really enjoyed the time with their Grandpa. He enjoyed collecting monster trucks. He has most of them on a shelf in the kids playroom. He enjoyed going to watch The Monster truck shows. Bill really liked trying to help his friends and family, anyway he knew how, even if it was just listening to them. He was a great jokester, playing and telling jokes all of the time and to everyone. Bill's most favorite thing, was driving truck. He loved it so much meeting all the new people and seeing all the new and beautiful places. He drove a lot at night, so he was always sending me sunrise photos in the mornings, And telling me good morning. He was so proud of his great driving record. And no accidents or tickets from all of those many miles he had drove. He had been to the truck driving nationals a few times and we both enjoyed that he was a great truck driver. He received Belt buckles and trophies for placing in the Championships. He was very proud of that. He held the perfect 300 score from the State of Utah. He retired almost 2 years ago and missed truck driving very much. He hated most giving up his CDL license after working so hard to get it and keep it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
