Q: Describe where Marian worked and what they did A: I met Marian in grad school & we became fast friends. Shortly after graduation, she joined me in providing case management & conservtorship services for vulnerable older adults. We were partners until her retirement in 2002, & remained lifelong friends! Les & Marian were “salt of the Earth” people always giving of themselves in every way possible. I am so grateful that our paths crossed more than 40 years ago; she truly inspired me with her vivacious personality, love of lifelong learning & positive outlook in all circumstances. I will sorely miss her!

I was Marian’s caregiver in Mesquite NV. I helped Marian for a couple of years, until her move to Slat Lake. We got along exceptionally well, and shared lots about our lives with each other. She was truly one of my greatest friends and I am beyond grateful to have had her in my life. I admired her for the love she had for her family and for her strength! Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened. -Dr.Seuss

I met Marian in 1956 for the first time when she came to my wedding to Les's brother, Jim. Over many years we traveled together sharing many memories and many laughs. She and I also shared a love of books and quite a few times just sharing each other's company. I was so happy being a relative but most of all being friends.

My name is Robin Snyder. We met Marian & Lester a few years back through Richard and Brenda. They were always so kind with us. We would come and visit them when they lived in Mesquite stop by and have a cup of coffee and a great conversation. Marian was always so full of information and so well read. I really just enjoyed sitting and listening to her, talking and telling us what she done when she was younger and talking about her children and the life that they had led. I truly enjoyed spending time with them both. Marian was so kind and loving with us always had a hug for us whenever we stopped by or made a phone call to check in on her. We will truly miss her. We love her very much.

She was an inspirational wife, mother and caring person. We appreciated her commitment to her elderly mother by bringing her home for care in her senior years. After raising her family her focus turned to elder care issues with her advanced degree and gerontology business. She had a second life of giving. She and Les always took us out for breakfast at Hof’s Hut to catch up and share memories every time she came back to Southern California to visit Carol’s family. She was a truly wonderful, kind person.

Dear Richard and Brenda, To have witnessed the time and care that you demonstrated for Marion was to truly witness selfless love! She was blessed by Brenda's crafts (via wall art of Marian's favorite quotes, quilts, etc.), not to mention Brenda's sense of humor. Richard, you inherited amazing qualities from your parents, and your neighbors (and your friends) are lucky that you share your mother's love of flowers.
